About Me

Here’s some personal info about me and my journey in this world or marketing technology.

I was baptized in ink…

My beginnings started in Merrick, NY in the 1990s while in high school where I worked in a local print shop where I helped the owner with anything and everything he needed. From making coffee to running bindery operations and then running an AB Dick press.

I would eventually find another job at a digital pre-press company where I got involved in film output, matchprinting, custom color making and flexo-plate making.

Here was my birth into the world of Adobe that was new in the 90s. It’s because of this, I went to college to major in computer science while minoring in graphic design and arts.

During this time, I also was learning web design…the good ole days of manually editing and creating 90s looking websites and using tools like MS Frontpage 😂

Military Duty 99-04

With the dot com bubble in full swing, and work prospects fresh out of college slim… I choose to join the USMC. The advantage of eliminating college debt and further training sounded appealing to me.

I attended one of the longest Marine Corp MOS training cycles in the military where I became a 2831 where I learned maintenance, repair and operations of the AN/TRC 170. We went down to learning component level troubleshooting and repair for operations of radio terminals that transmit microwave signals that scatter and reflected off the upper atmosphere and received by other terminals

I deployed overseas for OEF, OIF, in support of middle east and Africa operations. This line of work gave me a great understanding of electronics engineering and would be a backdrop of my work that I do for RF industry providers today.

Welcome to Florida!

I moved to Tampa, Florida upon finishing the military. I started working for a local computer repair company in Citrus Park (Citrus Computers) where I assisted in setting up website design operations. Something else that is still a part of me today… I invested in real estate and a small business while working and employed.

It was the heydays of 04 leading up to the housing implosion… learned some good lessons and went through that roller coaster. On the small business side I purchased a bread route that operated in the early am hours in Tampa.

I still co-own routes and would eventually own up to six routes in Florida. I currently have the last one for sale in 2024. I have used business brokers and direct BizBuy platform and have bought/sold them myself. It has one of the best learning factors for me where I made good decisions and some really dumb decisions. Overall, it has given me a key strategic advantage with who I work with in my digital marketing & tech business.

These “boring businesses” have provided a tortoise of supplemental income that has let me work in my I.T./Digital marketing field and a certain lifestyle I enjoy.

Web Design & Digital Marketing

I worked for a local computer repair company in Citrus Park (Citrus Computers) where I assisted in setting up website design operations. Here I was able to work on HTML based designs and incorporate printing needs and began interacting with small business owners daily intaking needs.

It’s here where my birthplace into Google starts. Google was new, and those that wanted a website, the next questions were “How can I get #1 on Google”

I learned further the world of manually editing meta data and SEO/SEM concepts that drove in leads for clients. It’s also here that I started working with CMS systems like WordPress, Joomla and Magento.

The world of digital marketing amazed me and I fell in love with helping business owners and them messaging me saying how they got a lead or increased business from online efforts.

Real Estate Marketing 06-2010

In this time, I connected with a real estate marketing coach out of California. I became their web design and print marketing specialist. We created various lead generation tactics, techniques that involved digital needs and printing needs.

From single page sites to full broker websites integrating IDX/MLS feeds. I created over 320+ website and landing page assets for agents and brokers across the U.S. Here I developed customization tactics, U.I./UX practices, and templating tactics for agent and broker volume needs.

Also deployed and setup Google Ad accounts, campaigns, analytics and managed digital banner ads for social platforms. Company was sold and clients went to Agent Image.

In this time, I even took the Florida real estate agent course and passed the agent exam. The license has since expired as I did not keep updating the hour requirements.

Freelance, WordPress & SEO

After my real estate digital marketing gig. I was confident in working for myself and started gathering a book of clients across all sorts of businesses.

Businesses in many categories like personal injury lawyers, music lesson schools, dance schools, plumbers, eCommerce operators, medical companies, tradesmen, and much more.

From websites, PPC, Google ads, and much more. Some clients are still clients to this day and message me once in a blue when they need something or have a question.

I don’t market to everyone anymore as I intake clients needs and see if I am a good fit or not.

Mi-Wave

My military background helped me gain a FT job at Mi-Wave. A manufacturer of RF components to various industrial industries and defense contractors.

Here I helped the company explode in leads and grow the business. Utilizing and deploying all my digital martech skills we reached points where we were getting too many leads!

This problem lead to me investing in SaaS development where I custom developed basic cloud based systems to create efficient operating conditions.

Here my software background came into play and I would eventually hire and manage a FT band end developer to work with us to create a custom SaaS app based workflow system that still runs today.

Remote Success – 2014

It was in 2014 that I successfully transitioned to a FT remote operator with Mi-Wave. Way before the covid craze made working remote a discussion, I have been working to develop successful habits.

NOTE: This doe not imply I do not like being there physically. If the job entails certain learning and interactions, I actually WANT to schedule in-office time as I believe it does help in providing me with key bits of information that help make me form campaigns of success.

SMB Cloudware

I created with a partner an SaaS custom cloud software business to target small/mid-size business needs for companies that are interested in custom CRM needs or platform integration.

Today, we have created and deployed six SaaS solutions that help business owners manage and run their business. From RF industrial manufacturing, Medical supply, Construction, Music school, to Aviation management systems.

For many, this is not a topic of conversation until you start maximizing production ceilings and need to look at labor/time management models to increase business and productivity.

This is the world of DevOps, AWS, Azure, Repo Management and front/backend engineering for cloud based solution needs.

Rank & Rent Sites

In 2018, As I have gotten to learn SEO & SEM very well, I started investing my own time in rank and rent websites. This is sill an evolution as certain websites pan better and niche industries are the best depending on R.O.I. of lead.

Essentially, I look at a certain industry, create a website, and generate leads through SEO & SEM tactics. These leads are then handed to a company for processing and closing.

I have certain models on selling per lead or monthly all inclusive for domains. I do not entertain this as a public request. I target select niche industries based on statistical traffic and endline value of customer as well as provider servicing leads.

Ft. Lauderdale

I moved to Ft Lauderdale in 2020 initially to take over a foreclosed St Armands route operation. Upon taking over operations, I streamlined services and put labor in place to run operations that freed me up. I bought and sold the Jupiter to Ft Lauderdale route within three months of acquiring it.

As mentioned at the beginning, this is the business operation that has stayed with me since moving to Florida.

I also purchased during covid a route in Tampa with my brother who helps me manage and run it all. Together we run and hire labor as needed to run the business together.

It’s really a boring business that just keeps going and nearly 20 years later since arriving to Florida, it’s still chugging away.

Private Aviation OPF

In this time, I landed work with Noble Air Charter, a private 135 operation out of Miami (OPF) and worked with handling all digital and print marketing needs. The company was roughly 20 employees and managed seven aircraft total.

I helped grow charter operations significantly and drove in consistent target traffic. Working onsite gave me further exposure to 135 operations and I would assist in various operational needs that included maintenance support, flight ops, broker support, hiring I.T. support labor, and even learning how to broker flights myself.

I even attracted jet owners to our management services that was non-existent from a marketing perspective. Allowing private jet owners to use our company to mange their aircraft under our certificate.

Overall a great learning experience as it has given me a mountain of marketing knowledge to help any 135 operator in business growth needs.

Private Aviation – Going Public with Volato

In October of 2022, I was poached by Volato. What attracted me was the company was aggressively looking to grow in the private aviation space. The goal from the beginning for me was to help the company go public. I joined and helped grow marketing operations and managed 3rd party agencies as well as direct management of certain assets.

I personally owned a $100K/mth Google & Bing ads budget. There I helped create targeted and national campaigns for charter and aviation jet sales. I was also lead on LookerStudio report building and data reporting integration across services for departmental views on KPI’s.

I also managed our Controller listings, Controller email blasts, FlyEasy, JetNetIQ platforms to help accomplish job needs. We went public and traded as SOAR on the NYSE where I thanked them and resigned my post as planned as of January 1 2024.

So far in 2024

In 2024, I have looked at scaling up my small business services business offerings to help small business owner with a la carter website deployment and marketing needs. My target clients are those that want someone on staff but don’t necessarily need FT.

I am a great fit in that I can help with advanced labor needs and won’t break the bank…but more importantly, help you make the right decision when it comes to digital marketing needs.

So far I have been working with Neurocare Pro, Norfolk Aircraft Interiors and the Certified Aircraft Appraiser Association with PT digital marketing management and printing needs.
